Duesentrieb20 Jun 2019 21:09Hi,
my wife and I are planning to build a house for our (soon to be) two children.
We have already reserved a plot for a detached single-family home. Construction will start no earlier than 2021, so we have plenty of time to gather more detailed information.
A single-family home with Allkauf Haus would be possible and affordable according to our rough ideas, and the option to do some of the finishing work ourselves is reassuring. We would build almost turnkey, but I might install the insulation myself during my vacation to create some cost flexibility. Since the fixed price guarantee is valid for two years but will expire next year (2020), we are not necessarily tied to Allkauf Haus.
I am now interested in each trade in detail, and with your help, I would like to get an idea of the quality level of an Allkauf Haus and whether we can accept the compromises that come with a prefabricated house (specifically an Allkauf Haus).
Let’s start with the wall construction.
I have read on various sites that prefabricated houses have good thermal insulation due to their wall structure, but that this construction method might have a negative impact on sound insulation.
There was also a statement somewhere that special anchors are needed if you want to hang heavy items on the wall... is this still the case with Allkauf Haus?
And lastly: staining on the exterior plaster after a short time (due to the good thermal insulation)... what exactly does “after a short time” mean?
I hope I’m still in the right category with such specific questions under “General Questions,” but maybe this discussion will even lead us to decide against an Allkauf Haus.
Best regards
Daniel
PS: Maybe you also have other points that clearly argue against Allkauf Haus or against the wall construction used by Allkauf Haus. I would be happy to benefit from your knowledge, thanks.

I would have expected different questions now instead of the topic of insulation and plaster!
Have you looked into what the homeowner is responsible for on-site and why Allkauf Haus offers such attractive "promotional prices"? That certainly isn’t just because of the shell construction option?!

???
So, have you already signed a contract with Allkauf Haus? Are you sure you correctly understood the clause about the price guarantee? I think there might be some confusion here.
