I am currently considering getting the Villeroy & Boch Squaro corner bathtub for our new build, specifically the Airpool Comfort version. According to a representative, Villeroy & Boch whirlpools do not have air preheaters, which is quite concerning to me. The representative said that the air is only briefly cold at the beginning and afterward you don’t notice it, but I don’t really believe that (and I don’t quite understand why the air would only be cold at the start).
In my childhood, we had two retrofit air jet mats at home. One had air preheating, the other did not. And I have to say, the difference was huge. Without air preheating, the bath water cooled down incredibly fast.
So my question is: Does anyone here have experience with a Villeroy & Boch Airpool and can share how it really performs? Does the water actually cool down as quickly as I fear? Is it possible to retrofit such a system with an air preheater?
