Chris19905 Dec 2020 09:35Good morning everyone, we will start building in January with Town & Country (HIS) in Brandenburg. We will be installing a Rotex HPSU Compact 516 air-to-water heat pump. Has anyone here already had experience with this unit? How much does your machine consume? Could you please share some information?
Is there anything we should consider before starting construction? Is it possible to add anything extra?
Our house:
Flair Duo 180m² (1937ft²) (with a granny flat)
Underfloor heating

Is there already a room-by-room heating load calculation? Have you set your desired temperatures for each room? The supply temperature should not exceed 30 degrees Celsius (86°F), and there should be no buffer tank in the heating circuit. Have you already determined the size of the hot water storage tank?
With all this data, the size of the heat pump can be determined. It is important not to oversize the heat pump; it should closely match your actual consumption. This way, you will have an efficiently operating heat pump.
From what I have seen, the best advice is to get involved yourself in the planning process and not just let the heating engineer improvise.

We haven’t done anything yet. The heating load was calculated by the company.
Since we have little knowledge about this topic, I thought I could get some help here. Thanks in advance.
