Hello!
I'll start.
Heated area 200m2 (2,153 sq ft)
KfW 55 standard
Mechanical ventilation with heat recovery
Current outdoor temperature 6°C (43°F)
Heating energy consumption including hot water 35 kWh
Electricity consumption 9 kWh
COP 3.88

Does anyone know how I can reduce the compressor capacity on a Stiebel Eltron WPL A05? The heat pump runs continuously at 25Hz and consumes about 600W.

Isn't that already really little?!

Alright, it's fine already. My Lwz_5_s_plus runs minimally at 0.4kW at 20Hz when it's settled down.

I’m not familiar with yours, but since it's the same manufacturer:

  • Maximum integral part
  • Possibly reduce the proportional part
  • “Heating design” set as low as possible (e.g., 50%)
  • Design temperature as low as possible (max. NAT, or try minimum occasionally)
Try and learn 😉

permanently at 25Hz
Or does that mean something non-modulating?

The design temperature is already set to -20. Unfortunately, I can’t adjust the other options.

It is modulating, but not below 25Hz. It could also be related to the outside temperatures since the heat pump has only been running since the end of October.
