Hi,
I am looking at a house (timber frame construction) built in 2011 with a fresh air heating system (air-to-air heat pump + photovoltaic), as well as a wood stove. My expertise in this area is still limited, so I am curious why there is also an electric heater in the bathroom, which seems to have been retrofitted. Does this indicate any kind of problem or is it normal?
Thank you.

nordbayer25 Apr 2020 19:04Are you prone to colds or do you have other health issues related to dry air? Then stay away from this. Otherwise, it probably depends on the price whether you accept this rather low-quality heating system or not. What is the energy standard? At KfW 40 or better, it can be acceptable.

Worrier8425 Apr 2020 20:44Since the total cost of the house will clearly exceed approximately €500,000 (~ $550,000), I am not willing to settle for a low-quality heating system.
Do you know of a reliable website that provides a general overview of heating technologies, including evaluations suitable for a non-expert?
Many thanks
