ᐅ Air intake in a light well?

Hello,

we will install a ventilation system from Pluggit, which will be located in the basement.
The supply and exhaust air are planned to be routed through an opening in the basement wall that ends in a small light well. Is this a feasible approach? I am a bit concerned about the supply air coming in below ground level.
Also, it seems to me that the supply and exhaust air openings are quite close together.
Are there any regulations or guidelines that the construction company must follow regarding this?

Good luck,

The problem is that the wall penetration in the basement is located very high up. If there needs to be a slope, there isn’t much room to work with.

Then just install them a bit lower down.

There are already openings, but if it’s unavoidable, new ones will have to be made.

And preferably far away from it, in a cool spot to draw in the air.

Is a long pipe not problematic from a hygiene perspective?

Is a standard PVC waste pipe sufficient for this?

If any, then KG – HT pipes are not available in these sizes and should not be used underground.
