Hello everyone,
I have a Stiebel Eltron WPL 17 ICS classic. This is a new build from 2019.
In recent years, we had little to no problems with it.
Since last week, we started heating again. Unfortunately, for reasons unknown to me so far, the heating output is very strong. Where heating is on, the floor temperature is around 30–31°C (86–88°F). This has never happened before, even when it was very cold outside.
We haven’t really changed anything. The air source heat pump is running in comfort mode. The temperature set for comfort mode on the heat pump is 21°C (70°F).
What I noticed:
Setpoint temperature HK1: 23.9°C (75°F)
Actual temperature: 30.4°C (87°F)
Supply temperature heat pump: 30.5°C (87°F)
Controller dynamics: 50
Standby pump power: 35
Do you have any idea why the floor is heating so excessively and feels so warm? I would also say that the programs “domestic hot water” and “compressor” run unusually long, almost continuously.
Thanks in advance

In the meantime, you can turn all ERR to off. This will manually shut off most of the heating circuit. Then, mainly your hot water will be heated. If it gets too cold, turn it back on.
Or have the hot water prepared "controlled," basically under supervision.
You’ll need to experiment a bit until the plumber arrives.

Corini198522 Nov 2022 20:42Hello, unfortunately the problem has not been resolved yet.
The air source heat pump from Stiebel was installed by the plumbing company during the new build; they were subcontracted by the developer. This plumbing company is also an authorized partner of Stiebel and has performed the maintenance here over the past two years. When I noticed the problem in September, I did not report it to the developer as a defect but contacted the plumbing company directly since they handle the maintenance.
The plumbing company came twice in September. On the first visit, nothing was done; on the second visit, they found that the MFG (control module) was stuck or defective. While still at my place, the plumbing company contacted Stiebel and reported a repair order. The repair was supposed to be carried out by Stiebel, not the plumbing company. Stiebel then scheduled a first appointment for mid-November. This appointment was canceled three days beforehand due to illness. A new date was set 10 days later, which was canceled again, also due to illness. Now Stiebel cannot or will not give me a new appointment and wants to have the repair done through the plumbing company instead. Stiebel would supply the MFG to the company. An initial discussion between Stiebel and the company took place yesterday. The plumbing company is apparently fully booked until February. Stiebel planned to clarify this again with the company today and get back to me. So far, no one has contacted me. It is not possible to reach customer service by phone as a private customer.
At the moment, I am basically in the same situation as in September: no heating, no appointment in sight. If no one contacts me today, how should I proceed? Should I send a defect notice, and if so, should it go to the developer (who is not familiar with this issue) or the plumbing company? This is definitely still a warranty case with Stiebel, as the commissioning was presumably done by them as well.
Unfortunately, Stiebel seems very unreliable in terms of customer service.
How can I best assert my rights and get a timely repair? What about financial damages? The air source heat pump has not been working properly for months, the attic is freezing, which could lead to mold... I cannot just accept all this, can I?
Thank you
