Maybe someone can give me a tip on which cast floor is suitable as a final flooring.

I need a continuous surface without joints. The floor will be poured in a studio, and the entire build-up must not exceed 1 cm (optimal 3-5 mm (0.1-0.2 inches)). Currently, there are very unattractive tiles.

The area is approximately 2 x 50 m² (2 x 538 sq ft). I plan to roughen the tiles with a diamond grinder and then prime them with a quartz primer. After that, I need a material that either flows or can be troweled. The floor will not face heavy loads but should not crack immediately, for example, if a water bottle is dropped. The floor can have an industrial look and does not need to be a perfect microcement residential floor.

Once I find the right material, I would seal the surface once or twice with a PU (polyurethane) coating.

Additionally, a question:
The foundation slab in the basement shows no visible cracks. The tiles also do not have any stress cracks, and the floor was installed properly—no tiles are loose or similar. Do I still need a reinforcing mesh?

Price is of course also a factor! I have only a limited budget for the floor….

Would a fiber-reinforced self-leveling compound followed by PU coating work?

I would appreciate any tips.
