ᐅ Adjusting the length of the shower curtain rod

Hello Ikea fans,

I have been using the Ore shower curtain rod for several years now. It has a telescopic spring mechanism, meaning it can simply be clamped between two walls. Now I have the problem that I need to adjust the length—I need to make it longer, to pull it out a bit more (which should theoretically still be possible given the length of the rod). But when I try to pull from just one end, nothing happens; it only compresses a little but won’t extend even a millimeter. Rotating it doesn’t help either. Unfortunately, I no longer have the instruction manual. Am I just missing something? 😀 Or is it no longer possible to extend the rod once it has been pushed in and is basically locked into place? It would be great if someone knows!

Okay, the problem just got solved 😀 With the help of pliers, I was able to pull out the inner rod after all. The system was probably a bit "rusted".
