Hello everyone,
We are currently planning the floor plan for our house.
We had the idea to add a second utility room as a kind of laundry room on the upper floor. Our utility room on the ground floor is only 5 sqm (54 sq ft) due to space limitations, and it is too small to accommodate the washing machine, dryer, and the entire heating system.
Does anyone have experience with this? Or maybe you have something similar?
I look forward to your answers and comments.

Because of the controlled residential ventilation system, we also have a condenser dryer—just to empty the water container—but you’re sacrificing space for a nice cleaning supplies cabinet. You already have limited storage, in my opinion not enough, so after drying your laundry you should be able to quickly access the next room.
Where will you store seasonal clothing? What about the vacuum cleaner and mop? Is there a storage room planned under the stairs? That should be used for shoes and outerwear.
Actually, the hallway is too narrow for strollers and similar items [emoji44]
Best regards, Yvonne

A laundry room on the upper floor is a good idea, but unfortunately, it’s not possible for us because I want to have a home office there, and both wouldn’t fit together. But I actually find your laundry room a bit too narrow. I understand it’s difficult to get more space from the same floor area. We ultimately spent about half a year working on our floor plan.
