Good morning,
Yesterday evening, the upper hinge of my apartment door suddenly slipped out of the frame, making the door impossible to close.
I managed to fix it temporarily, but I think at least one of the hinges needs to be replaced.
Unfortunately, I couldn’t find much information online about this specific type of hinge, especially the model I have.
(like this one)
I attached two pictures showing the current condition.
At the top, the hinge had slipped out so far that the start of the cutout in the middle was visible.
The upper hinge also looks visibly bent to me, so I believe it needs to be replaced anyway.
Top
Bottom
Now my question is: If I get a replacement part from the hardware store, is it enough to replace just the middle/frame part of the hinge, or could that cause problems?
Also, how can I best check whether the inner frame part itself is warped or damaged?
Otherwise, I would generally appreciate any advice and tips on this 🙂

From your photo, it looks like the hinge hasn’t simply “worked loose,” but is actually slightly warped. Once the top hinge pin has been subjected to lateral force, even a small hit or an awkward door movement can cause it to sit crooked like a bent nail. The middle section can be replaced separately, but only if you get exactly the same hinge model. Mixing manufacturers often leads to play in the joint or causes the door to hang slightly off after installation, which will give you trouble when closing.
Check whether the frame itself is still perfectly aligned. If the hinge seat is warped, even the best replacement won’t help. I would first carefully remove the hinge and check if the pins are aligned before buying a replacement blindly.
