What has been your experience with current doorbells?
I would like a video function that at least records the doorbell events. Of course, it should also have night vision, etc.
Basically, it’s enough for me to have a monitor in the hallway. It’s not necessary for all mobile devices to ring.

Unfortunately, I haven’t found many meaningful reviews, or the ones I found are outdated.
What’s your opinion? Is a 2-wire system or LAN better? Which video system would you recommend?
Thanks a lot in advance.

If you're building anyway, install LAN cabling. It can also be used as a 2-wire connection.

Clearly both! Both 2-wire and LAN should be connected to the doorbell system.

There are both options. I would recommend installing LAN cables as it is more flexible and future-proof. I have a two-wire setup but am completely satisfied, so that is also fine.

Thanks in advance for your answers. Do you generally have a recommendation for a LAN doorbell? I get the impression that there are either quite affordable options or well-known brands like BuschJäger, Siedle, etc.
There doesn’t seem to be a clear "best choice."
I would appreciate any additional tips.
Thank you all.

Since users’ tasks and requirements can vary greatly, there are no definitive top performers. Each offers the standard features, and the differences lie in the additional options provided.
