Proteinkinase25 Jun 2017 08:31Hello everyone! I’m new here and have a question right away ;-) According to the land registry office, we are currently in first place for our preferred plot. However, the staff member said this still needs to be officially approved by the committee before we get the confirmation. Can anyone tell me how likely it is that this will actually happen? Is it basically just a formality now? I’m so impatient ;-D
Without knowing the details of the committee, its composition, responsibilities, who counted what, and why you are in first place, I will assume the usual decision-making process in official procedures and suggest that it is now just a formality.
However, if the committee is still reviewing facts not originally considered in the selection process, for example, priority given to building for low-income families, it could still become difficult for you.

Proteinkinase25 Jun 2017 09:05Hi. Okay, I gave very little information. Unfortunately, I don't know much more either :-D
The allocation of space depends on the number of children, how long you have lived in the city, whether you own other properties, and if there are people in need of care living in the household. Points are assigned based on these criteria.
Well, I’ll just hope for the best. Thanks anyway!

My opinion: If you don’t have it in writing, you don’t have it.

Usually, the municipal property committee sets the award criteria and commissions the administration with the technical execution. After the deadline, the results are presented, explained, and decided upon at the next committee meeting. Committee members can verify through targeted questions to the administration whether the procedure was conducted properly. This is specifically intended to prevent scenarios like the one mentioned above. And if the property office has already made a statement ...
If your process works like this or similarly, check the council information system (if available) for the date of the next meeting, whether the award is on the agenda, whether the meeting is public, and watch the whole thing live.
