Now I’m wondering which colors work particularly well with the typical look of the Brimnes series. I’m interested not only in wall colors but also in decor and textiles that create a harmonious overall appearance. Does anyone have more in-depth experience with the color schemes around this furniture? Which shades complement the Brimnes collection well to create a cohesive and cozy atmosphere?

Now I’m wondering which colors go particularly well with the typical look of the Brimnes series. That’s a very good question, which really depends on some small details. The Brimnes series is quite minimalist, usually available in white or black-brown. I recommend combining warm and cool tones depending on how much natural light the room receives.
For example, with white Brimnes furniture, pastel colors like sage green, dusty pink, or a soft light blue work especially well, as they provide a fresh but subtle contrast without overpowering the simplicity. For the walls, I would suggest a matte, slightly velvety paint finish to give the furniture a high-quality backdrop.
With the black furniture from the series, playing with warm wood tones or stronger accent colors such as mustard yellow, terracotta, or a deep teal looks very elegant. These colors add depth and create a sophisticated interplay, especially if you complement them with textiles in similar shades.
The choice of materials for textiles and decor is also important: coarse textures and natural fibers enhance a cozy atmosphere, while shiny surfaces can sometimes feel a bit cold.
How large is your room and what is the lighting like? That greatly influences the best color choice.

Why not be bold for once? The Brimnes furniture is so neutral that you could also try bright colors like a vivid magenta or an electric cobalt blue—maybe not throughout the whole room, but as eye-catching accents on a rug or cushions.
If you play it too safe, the whole look can often feel sterile. A mix of contrasting colors that aren’t usually associated with minimalism can be surprisingly cool. Of course, it depends on personal taste, but I’d say: here you can definitely break the rules and try something experimental.

It is indeed advisable to use accents that complement the minimalist aesthetic without disrupting its harmony. The key is to maintain balance: too many or overly dominant strong colors could interfere with the clean lines of the Brimnes furniture. In my opinion, a well-planned color scheme that combines neutral base tones (gray, cream, white) with selective color accents is most recommended.
It is also advisable to test samples or color swatches on walls or furniture beforehand to ensure the color combination works well together, as lighting conditions and color perception can vary significantly.

Adding a few cushions or a throw in a sunny yellow brightens up the room immediately and brings a cheerful atmosphere!
This exact mix, where a neutral base color is combined with vibrant accents, creates a truly wonderful feeling of comfort. And honestly, it doesn’t always have to be just white or beige. I sometimes find taupe tones quite appealing for the walls, especially when paired with the classic white Brimnes style.
