ᐅ Are there Ikea Pax wardrobes available that come fully assembled?

I am planning to purchase an IKEA Pax wardrobe and wondered if there are models or versions that come fully assembled. Specifically, I am interested in whether IKEA itself or authorized dealers offer the possibility to deliver the Pax wardrobe completely assembled and ready to use, so I can avoid the time-consuming and sometimes complicated assembly process entirely. Do I need to book special services for a fully assembled delivery, or is this generally possible? Has anyone had experience with Pax wardrobes delivered without self-assembly?

A few months ago, I ordered from IKEA – including the Pax system – and had to assemble everything myself. Admittedly, it would have been smarter to book the assembly service right away. However, nothing comes pre-assembled, as that would basically require a complete change of their business model. You can also look at it with a sense of humor: a box full of screws, a bit of patience, and in the end, you have a wardrobe ?.

In short: IKEA does not deliver Pax wardrobes fully assembled. You can book separate services for assembly at your location. There is no option for a fully pre-assembled delivery.

I want to follow up: Are there really no private or third-party providers that offer “Pax pre-assembled”? I can imagine that there are specialized installation companies that sell this service as an additional option. Even if IKEA doesn’t offer it directly, there should be a market gap somewhere. Does anyone have experience with this?

Yes, in larger cities there are furniture assembly service providers who first assemble the wardrobe in their workshop and then deliver it fully assembled—usually as a complete service including installation. However, this is not guaranteed or officially supported by IKEA. Costs are generally higher due to double handling and transport. Those who want to avoid the hassle can choose this option but should clarify all details in advance.

Thank you all for the detailed responses! The information about assembly services and third-party providers was especially helpful to me. It seems that the best solution is to continue ordering the cabinet as a flat-pack and then either assemble it myself or hire the Ikea assembly service or an external contractor. The idea that fully pre-assembled delivery is challenging for logistical reasons also makes sense to me. If anyone has tips on what to specifically look out for when using external assembly services, I’m happy to hear them.
