Absolutely right. I personally always pack my old wool blankets to protect the surface and create cushioning at the same time. This makes the drive more comfortable—for both the furniture piece and the driver 😄. Additionally, you can avoid loud creaks when the boards rub against each other in the trunk.

A good tip: Always stack boards with the clean side facing up. Don’t forget to keep loose parts and screws together in boxes.

Thanks for the tip, blankets also seem very useful to me. What about films? Is regular stretch film enough, or is bubble wrap necessary for the delicate MDF parts? And do you have experience with the corners of the furniture piece? Should these be additionally padded separately, or is wrapping the entire panel sufficient?
