Hello everyone,

I am looking for sources to obtain replacement parts for the Ikea Pax wardrobe. Specifically, I need individual sliding door rollers as well as various interior components such as drawer slides and clothes rail brackets. Does anyone know if these parts can be purchased outside of Ikea stores or their official customer service? I have heard that some parts might be available through third-party suppliers or specialized dealers, but I am not sure where exactly to look.

Do any of you have experience with where to find reliable, original, or at least compatible replacement parts? Information on prices and delivery times would also be helpful if anyone has some reference points.

Thanks in advance!

Order directly from Ikea, as they keep replacement parts in stock for a long time. Otherwise, there are online retailers that offer PAX components, but these are usually not original parts.

I can contribute quite a bit on this topic: In my experience, Ikea offers spare parts for PAX through customer service, although availability is not unlimited. Sliding door rollers and internal mechanisms are often still in stock, but drawer slides in certain versions can sometimes be hard to find.

- Ikea itself has a website for ordering spare parts, where you can search for the right parts using the product number.
- For original parts, a careful search for the model number is worthwhile.
- Third-party suppliers often offer replicas, but quality can vary, for example, rollers made of plastic instead of metal.

Important: Keeping the exact model designation of the PAX unit makes the search much easier.

I’m interested to know which part numbers or item details are specifically being sought in order to offer more precise advice.

Thank you for the information, PIN66. I have just identified the model number of my Pax system: it is the 50x236 cm (20x93 inches) module with sliding doors, type KOMPLEMENT, manufactured in 2014. I mainly need the upper door rollers with the Ikea designation 400.396.03, as well as replacement plastic brackets for the clothes rails, which have become brittle on my unit.

Replacement parts should ideally be original or at least of the same quality, since the wardrobe is quite heavy and large. I want the doors to run smoothly and quietly again, and the clothes rails to be securely fixed.

Does anyone have any idea whether it’s better to order these parts directly from Ikea, or if alternative sources might be cheaper and faster?

Ikea usually supplies replacement parts for PAX directly through their customer service. I am not aware of other sources, especially for original parts.

Regarding sources for Ikea PAX replacement parts: Ikea itself is the primary source, as they actively support replacement part orders through their customer service. The Ikea customer service website offers a search function for spare parts, where you can enter the article/part number or model number.

Alternatively, there are smaller specialized retailers and online platforms focusing on furniture replacement parts. However, these are usually compatible replicas that may not always provide the same fit accuracy or durable material quality as original parts.

- Original parts from the manufacturer tend to be more expensive but guarantee compatibility.
- Replicas can be more affordable but carry the risk of faster wear or improper fit.

My advice: Order all critical components directly from Ikea, especially for load-bearing elements and sliding rails. For less stressed parts, you can explore the market for compatible replacements, but be sure to check reviews and feedback from other buyers.

It is important to record the necessary part numbers completely to avoid any mix-ups.

Are there any specific technical requirements regarding color or material that need to be considered when selecting replacement parts?
