Hello everyone,
I have a specific question regarding the stability of the Pax wardrobe under heavy and strong loads, as I am currently considering purchasing one and want to get a clear understanding. More precisely, I am interested in how well the wardrobe can actually support weights of several kilograms per shelf, especially when storing many heavy books, binders, or larger items.
Some models have only thin shelves, which might sag, or the overall construction could weaken under higher loads. How does the frame stability and overall statics hold up? Are there experiences with long-term use carrying heavy loads, around 20 to 30 kilograms (44 to 66 pounds) per compartment?
Your opinions and experience, including any tips on possible reinforcements or assembly advice, would be very helpful. Thanks in advance!

Regarding the stability of the Pax wardrobe under heavy loading, it can be said that the design is fundamentally stable; however, some points should be considered:
- The shelves are rated for a maximum load of 25 kg (55 lbs) per shelf. This also depends on whether they are installed correctly and completely.
- For heavy loading with bulky items, it is recommended to use additional middle supports or braces if the model allows for it.
- The side panels have a solid base stability due to their thickness of about 16 mm (0.63 inches), which can slightly change with frequent loading and unloading.
In the long term, an even distribution of weight and avoiding overloading individual compartments is advised, as otherwise bending of the shelves and deformation of the frames may occur.
To maintain overall structural integrity, I recommend following the assembly instructions carefully and considering reinforcement of the back panel if necessary. Stability therefore largely depends on correct assembly and loading practices.

Regarding the stability of the Pax wardrobe when heavily loaded, it can be said that the construction is generally designed to be stable, but a few points should be taken into account:I agree completely, especially if you really pack the wardrobe full, it’s natural to feel a bit unsure. I also had concerns at first since I store a lot of electronics and heavy books inside, but after about a year in my home, it’s still holding up very well. However, I make sure to place the heaviest items on the lowest shelves.
In my opinion, the wardrobe feels quite sturdy despite the relatively thin shelves, although you shouldn’t really risk overloading it. One tip from me: if you can reinforce the lighter shelves or boards with a few small supports, it makes a big difference. Safety comes first, especially if you have small children at home or if the piece of furniture is moved frequently.
