My specific question is: What is the best way to repair or maintain these Billy hinges to stop them from squeaking? I would prefer not to buy new parts but rather use lubrication or something similar.

Are there any special products recommended for lubricating hinges, such as oil-based or dry lubricants? Also, do I need to remove the hinge completely, or is it sufficient to maintain them while they are still installed? I look forward to your tips and experiences!

Simply spray WD-40 onto the hinge, move it a few times, and you're done. Removing it is not necessary.
