ᐅ Are there Ikea Pax wardrobe models with built-in LED lighting?

TABOMAUHello everyone,
I’m currently setting up a Pax wardrobe from Ikea and was wondering if there are actually models with built-in LED lighting? I find the information online a bit confusing because Ikea offers various LED options for the Pax system – for example, lighting kits that you can buy separately and install yourself – but I’m specifically looking for fully pre-assembled Pax units with integrated LED lighting.
Does anyone have experience with this or know of models where the LEDs come factory-installed, without the need to add extra cables or spotlights? And if so, how does the quality of these integrated solutions generally compare to the separately available lighting options?
Thanks for your input!

Ikea does not offer Pax wardrobes with factory-installed LED lighting. The lights are intended as accessories that you purchase separately and install yourself.
So: LED lighting is not supplied pre-installed.

- Ikea sells so-called LED strips and spotlights for the Pax system, which can be mounted flexibly inside the wardrobe.
- The power supply is provided via external transformers, often neatly installed in the back panel or at the top of the wardrobe.
- There are mounting options with magnetic holders or clips for easy installation.
Important for those interested: The lights are rather intended as an aftermarket solution, not as a factory-installed component.
If you want a fully integrated solution, you have to either modify it yourself or use third-party products specifically designed for that purpose.
Besides the easy installation, Ikea LEDs are well balanced in terms of power consumption and brightness, but they are not professionally factory-installed.
Conclusion: For most users, the retrofit solution is completely sufficient, offering flexibility and good lighting quality, but fully pre-assembled Pax models with LEDs are not available from Ikea.

Ikea parts are very practical for retrofitting, but you’ll mostly find them in DIY projects. For anyone who enjoys a bit of handiwork, the separately sold LEDs are the best choice, and you can perfectly customize the lighting to your own wardrobe.
If someone is hoping for ready-made integrated Pax models – unfortunately, you’ll have to wait or do it yourself.
P.S.: With a bit of creativity, it becomes a fun little DIY adventure! 😉
