Often, a wax that is too dark can have the opposite effect. Also, the wax should not be applied too thickly, as this can quickly cause the area to look blotchy.
Sometimes, a gentle touch-up marker is a good alternative, particularly for very fine scratches. But if you choose to use wax, patience is key – it’s better to apply several thin layers and polish lightly in between.
