Especially with larger Metod cabinets, it often happens that heavy pots or supplies are stored in the drawers. Do you have any experience with which drawer slide systems are particularly sturdy and easy to install?

For heavy loads, always use soft-close runners with metal guides. The Ikea Maximera runners are sturdy and can be easily retrofitted without damaging the original construction. Assembly markings make alignment easier.

Regarding load capacity: Metod drawers with the original MAXIMERA rails can easily support 15-20 kg (33-44 lbs). It is important to install the rails perfectly straight and securely fixed to the cabinet body. Otherwise, stability will be compromised.
