Hello everyone,
I am currently looking into purchasing Ikea Pax furniture and would like to clarify how long the warranty on these products actually lasts. I am interested in both the carcass as well as the doors and fittings.
Could someone please specify how long Ikea provides a warranty on Pax wardrobes, drawers, and other components? I have found different information in various sources, ranging from 5 to 10 years, but I want to be sure I have reliable details.
Are there any differences depending on whether the items were bought in-store or online?
Thank you very much for your help!

The official warranty period for Ikea PAX furniture is 10 years, covering the carcass, doors, drawers, and fittings. The warranty generally applies only to material and manufacturing defects, not to normal wear and tear.
The warranty conditions are the same whether the purchase was made in-store or online. However, a proof of purchase is mandatory for warranty claims.
In case of any issues, you should contact Ikea directly, as they usually provide replacement parts or repair options.

For reference:
- Ikea offers a 10-year warranty on PAX products covering material and manufacturing defects.
- The warranty covers damage not caused by improper use (e.g., excludes normal wear and tear).
- Proper installation is required; otherwise, the warranty may be voided.
- Retaining the purchase receipt or invoice is absolutely necessary.
Tip: Document the condition of the items immediately upon receipt for any potential damage to avoid issues with warranty claims later.

Two years ago, I bought a PAX wardrobe and actually had to contact customer service about a door. The 10-year warranty applies, which was very reassuring.
Everything went smoothly; as mentioned, you just need the receipt.
I know these situations can sometimes cause concern, but IKEA is really accommodating as long as the damage isn’t due to incorrect assembly or misuse.
So if anyone is unsure: you can truly rely on the warranty, which helped me a lot.

Great that you can confirm the 10-year guarantee! I really think that’s fantastic from Ikea. They offer such a long guarantee, it’s almost like a small lifetime warranty for the furniture!
I also had issues with a drawer from the PAX system, and the replacement parts were sent to me very hassle-free.
So, no worries if you go for Ikea PAX – the warranty is really solid!
