Oh, that’s a great question! With Ikea METOD, the slides usually have precise markings on the side panels. It’s important that the rails on both sides are perfectly parallel and aligned at exactly the same height. If you’re not accurate here, the drawer can quickly get stuck!

I can only agree! It’s better to screw in loosely at first so you can adjust the fit easily. Then tighten them properly afterward. And yes, never warp the metal guide! That only causes problems.

One more tip from me: After installation, make sure to check that the drawer slides smoothly and doesn’t squeak. If it does, double-check that everything is mounted evenly and parallel.
