Hello everyone,

I would like to know approximately how much a complete assembly service for the Ikea Platsa system costs. I am not only interested in the hourly rate but also in other factors that might influence the price—such as the number of units, the complexity of the assembly, or travel expenses. It would be really helpful if you could share your experiences with specific price details or offer tips on how to best estimate the cost of the service either through Ikea or an external provider.

I am also curious about whether there are regional differences or if a fixed price can be expected. Thanks in advance!

In my city, prices are now between 50 and 75 euros per hour. For Platsa, 3 to 4 hours are usually realistic. Travel costs are often an additional 15 euros.

Regarding the calculation:

- Check if Ikea offers a fixed flat rate for assembly at your local store.
- Ask about the typical number of hours required for your number of modules.
- Compare several quotes from craftsmen who provide furniture assembly.
- Take into account possible additional costs (travel fees, replacement materials).

It is advisable to book appointments early, as Ikea assembly services are often fully booked.

Exactly, and if you decide to hire external service providers, also check their reviews and whether they have experience specifically with Ikea systems like PLATSA. The complexity often lies in the wall mounting and the large number of parts.

Also, if you are somewhat handy yourself, a partially self-assembled system with some assistance might be more cost-effective – sometimes providers offer half-day help, which is cheaper than complete assemblies.
