ZiyaelHello everyone, I am currently looking into whether an Ikea Pax wardrobe system can truly be fully and perfectly equipped using only the original IKEA Komplement accessories. I’m not just interested in whether everything fits, but also whether the Komplement elements like drawers, shelves, rails, and clothes rails can actually cover all requirements without needing to rely on third-party products. Does anyone have practical experience with this – how feasible is it if you want larger or specific storage solutions or a highly customized interior organization? And how do the Komplement parts perform in terms of quality, stability, and usability? Thanks in advance for your insights!
Hello Ziyael, I think your question is very well formulated – the PAX series with KOMPLEMENT accessories is indeed very versatile. Basically, everything is designed to work perfectly together: drawers, shelves, clothes rails, as well as inner drawers or inserts. Of course, it always depends on how customized the use should be. For example, if you want to keep socks and underwear strictly separate, the small inserts are ideal. However, you will reach limits with bulky items like bags or sports equipment. The quality is very good for a flat-pack furniture system, but it is not comparable to high-end specialist providers. I recommend planning carefully in advance what you want to store, and if needed, consider a combination, such as KOMPLEMENT plus a few storage boxes.
So, I think with PAX and Komplement you can really turn the bedroom into an organization paradise. There are so many little extras that you almost feel like reorganizing all your small items. Of course, if you have very specific needs, you might reach some limits, but for everyday use, it’s extremely practical. And the design? Typical Ikea style—simple and functional—which fits almost anywhere. The quality feels quite good for the price, and if you want, you can always improvise in the end. But honestly—what more could you ask for?

Do you simply use the base modules without Komplement for large items, or do you combine them with other IKEA systems? Or perhaps you have storage solutions for large and awkward items that fit well in the PAX system with Komplement? I’m really interested in this, as it is my main focus.
