Hello everyone,
I am planning to furnish my hallway wardrobe using Ikea Platsa furniture and am looking for specific tips and experiences on how to best use these modules as a wardrobe. I am especially interested in how to organize the different compartments and doors efficiently for shoes, coats, and accessories without making the overall look too cluttered or busy.
Additionally, recommendations for suitable interior fittings or add-ons such as clothing rods, shoe racks, or hooks that integrate well with the system would be very helpful.
If anyone also knows a solution for small hallways with limited space, I would be particularly glad to hear about it.
Thank you in advance!

Shoes fit well in the open compartments at the bottom. Doors help create a neat and tidy appearance.

Also: the Platsa units are truly versatile heroes. I added hooks on the inside of the doors in my hallway – perfect for keys or scarves.
And yes, if you think "narrow hallway = no chance," you might want to start with fewer modules and expand them modularly. The Ikea principle really works well here!

If anyone has a solution for small hallways where space is limitedI can relate well to that – at first, my space was quite tight, and I was worried it would feel too cramped. My advice: use light colors and combine open shelves with closed ones to keep the overall look lighter.
It was also important for me to create a mix of hanging and storage options because it’s very satisfying when everything has its designated place. And yes, I borrowed the idea of hooks on the module doors from others here – that saves a lot of space!
If you’re like me and often lose things: drawers and small boxes make life easier. I wish you the best of luck with your project and look forward to seeing how you put it together.
