I’m currently facing the challenge of assembling the IKEA Malm chest of drawers, and it’s proving to be quite difficult. Although the instructions seem detailed, they are sometimes unclear, and putting together all the numerous parts is really confusing. In particular, some screws and side panels hardly fit, and it seems to me that some of the drilled holes are not exactly aligned.

That’s my number one tip! Without a driver, the whole process takes forever, and you risk overtightening screws.

And if something really doesn’t fit: always take a step back first and carefully reread the instructions.
