Hello everyone,
I am planning to assemble my new IKEA Brimnes furniture together with another person and would like to know: What is the best way to assemble IKEA Brimnes furniture with two people?
I am especially interested in optimizing division of work, tool organization, and procedures that save time and make the assembly safer. Does anyone have experience with specific steps where having two people is particularly useful? I have basic knowledge, but a good plan would be helpful for the larger parts and for alignment. Thanks!

How many people are you with during the assembly? Two or more?As I originally mentioned, there are two of us. I just want to know how to best divide the tasks since some parts are quite cumbersome, and I want to avoid wasting more time than necessary due to confusion.
The best approach is:
- One person assembles the frame and lays out the parts.
- The other sorts the screws and prepares the tools.
- When fitting the parts together, the second person helps to align them.
- Insert the doors last, patiently.
This way, you avoid chaos and prevent mistakes.

Does anyone have experience with the specific steps where having two people is especially beneficial? From my perspective: Carrying and positioning heavy components should clearly be handled by one person who also stabilizes them at the same time. The other person can work alongside by screwing parts in place. For example, when fitting the back panel or the large side panels. This way, you avoid mistakes and the assembly runs smoothly.

Lifting and positioning heavy parts should clearly be assigned to one person who also provides stabilization. That is exactly what I consider crucial. Additionally:
- Keep communicating clearly about who holds what and when the screws are tightened.
- Consider using temporary supports so the furniture can be held more easily by one person for short periods.
- Think about reading the instructions together step by step. Some parts are tricky, and misunderstandings cost time.
This will make the teamwork run more smoothly.
