Hello everyone, I am currently considering buying an Ikea Brimnes piece of furniture but have some concerns about the assembly. I am not very experienced with DIY and have only assembled a few pieces of furniture so far. My question is: Is assembling the Ikea BRIMNES suitable for beginners with average DIY skills, or are there parts where you might quickly run into difficulties? I’m particularly interested in your assessment of the clarity of the assembly instructions, the time required, and whether additional tools or special skills are needed. Looking forward to your experiences and opinions!

- Basic understanding of assembly instructions
- Patience and careful work
- Generally, all necessary tools are included, but a cordless drill is recommended
- The construction is modular, which simplifies the assembly
The manual uses standardized pictograms and clearly describes each step. Common issues often arise from pre-tensions or incorrectly positioned joints. Working carefully can help prevent these problems.

Tips:
- Count all parts and screws before starting
- Follow the step-by-step instructions carefully
- Keep tools within reach
- Allow at least twice the suggested time to complete the assembly
The manual does not provide written explanations, only illustrations. This requires attention to detail but is not a significant obstacle if you approach it with focus.

Rashadmeo15 Jun 2021 13:18Hey! I can honestly say: no need to panic! 😎 If you follow the instructions and allow yourself enough time, assembling the BRIMNES is definitely doable, even without much DIY experience.
This is really important because otherwise, you might waste a lot of time searching later or find out something is missing.
Exactly, this makes everything very clear! And if you get stuck, just take a moment to breathe and then try again! Everything will be fine! 💪🙂
