Hello,
we are planning a single-family house with approximately 90 sqm (970 sq ft) of floor space on a flat 500 sqm (5,380 sq ft) plot, without a basement (ground floor + upper floor).
We are very happy with the upper floor. Now we are focusing only on the ground floor.
On the south side, we have not yet decided on the door/window layout.
We have two options.
Which do you prefer?

I prefer option 1. But does that really help you?
What I would definitely recommend: think about the lighting in the hallway! It’s as dark as a cave in there. I would install a large glass panel next to the door to the living room and also use plenty of glass in the door itself. Do the same for the kitchen door.

We are very satisfied with the upper floor. Now the focus is only on the ground floor. Both floors should always be shown, as it is hardly possible to comment on them separately in a meaningful way.

We are about to start implementation. The living and dining area seems very spacious to us. We are probably planning to include a corner bench.
We have two small children. The area might quickly fill up with various toys.
What would you change?
Key details:
500 sqm (5382 sq ft) plot, driveway and entrance on the west side, family with two toddlers
It seems the third little child is actually you yourself, since you often lose track of your threads and just start new ones. Can we please continue discussing your project here and keep it in this thread?

I prefer option 2 because I am a fan of corner benches. We also have one planned, but the ceiling light outlets are positioned so that the table could also stand freely.
In both options, a lifting sliding door is planned. Consider this carefully. In your case, a regular door with a fixed side panel would also work. Lifting sliding doors are very expensive.

It seems you are the third little child here, constantly losing track of your own threads and just starting them "anew." Can we please continue discussing your project here and keep it all in one place? Unfortunately, my request overlapped with the fact that the original poster started a new thread again.
However, since this newest thread at least includes all the fundamental information needed to answer questions, I am revising my request to now discuss the project in this thread: https://www.hausbau-forum.de/threads/grundriss-einfamilienhaus-ohne-keller-fuer-familie.e1n6c7/.
