I also placed moisture-resistant cork pads underneath – they protect and look nice! And yes, a dehumidifier is great if humidity becomes an issue. This way, your furniture stays dry and happy!

I have found that a thin layer of furniture wax on the edges works well. It provides very good protection against moisture swelling. I use it regularly, especially on the edges of the PLATSA elements.
