ᐅ Pellet heating system: yes or no?

Does anyone have experience with pellets/ pellet heating systems? Would you generally recommend them, or would you rather advise against using them?
I would be very grateful for both positive and negative feedback!

I would like to get a heating system like that if I could, but unfortunately it’s not possible for me because of the chimney.
I have a gas heating system, and only the same type of heating system is allowed to be connected to one chimney.

What a pity.

The thing with pellets is a bit tricky; I wouldn’t be so sure that I want that, because dealing with the soot and ash is definitely a huge amount of work.

It’s not as bad as it sounds. The soot goes into the regular household waste, and the ash is great for spreading in winter. It’s also a good fertilizer for the garden.

You can’t use the chimney, but you can build a separate flue that runs along the outside of the house and connect such a stove to it.

Hello Kristiani,

basically, not a bad idea.. but.. they are not CO₂-neutral as advertising suggests, not quite as harmless, and so on.
