ᐅ Pellet heating system: yes or no?

Does anyone have experience with pellets/ pellet heating systems? Would you generally recommend them, or would you rather advise against using them?
I would be very grateful for both positive and negative feedback!

using pellets is a very good option. Firstly, they are easy to obtain at a reasonable cost, and secondly, they are environmentally friendly. This is because they only emit as much CO2 as the tree originally absorbed.

a friend of mine also wanted to switch, but it was very expensive and quite complicated. He used to heat with oil, and disposing of the old tank alone would have cost him a lot.

That is true, but that has nothing to do with the purchase cost of the pellet heating system. No matter what he decided on, the disposal costs would have been added anyway.

Regarding this issue, I see only one problem: the pellets have to come from somewhere. And in our area, there certainly isn’t enough forest to sustainably supply them on our own in the long term. Then we become dependent on another country again!!!

The wood will probably come from the North, like Norway or Finland. I can’t imagine the Norwegians would refuse to supply us with the wood.
