Hello,
we are considering installing wood-look tiles in our house (which is quite modern and open). I think these tiles, when well made, look really nice. I am just a bit skeptical whether I will still like them in a few years. Does anyone know a good manufacturer of wood-look tiles?

We also have wood-effect tiles in the hallway, kitchen, and living room.
With our dark brown living room tiles, we insisted that the tiler use matching grout. This further enhances the wood look.

Hallway: Kaleseramik Forest Poplar
Kitchen: Kaleseramik Forest Chestnut
Living room: Kermos Woodstyle Wenge

Yes, things are going quite well. However, hiring an expert (for the tiles, someone knowledgeable about tiling) has definitely paid off for us, because the wall tiles in the bathroom (shower/bathtub) will likely have to be replaced due to waterproofing issues. Any defects appearing later would have been very costly. In this case, the money spent on the expert was clearly worth it.

You are actually much further along than we are. The drywall was completed last week.
So far, we have had to redo the interior plaster and the roof overhang (sealing between individual boards of the boxing and touch-ups to the final coat).
Our experts haven’t had much to do yet; our site manager has always been on site and has already pressured the tradespeople. I hope it stays that way.

The wood-look tiles we liked were also around €70 per square meter (approximately $75 per square yard). Installation plus any additional costs would have been extra.
Unfortunately, I can no longer recall the brand. It was something Italian.
I like tiles in the bathroom, laundry room, and hallway because I find them practical there.
We have an open kitchen-living area. If a pot or anything heavy were to fall, it could have serious consequences for such an expensive tile.
A broken or cracked tile is simply frustrating. ops:
In the kitchen-living area, I got my way. We are now installing vinyl flooring with a wood look.
I am curious to see how this floor will hold up.

Laminate had also proved durable in the kitchen (tiles not so much, see above).

They seem to be trending right now… I recently quoted an additional charge of €120.00 per square meter (around $130 per square yard) for Italian wood-look tiles. The overall cost is quite high because only the end pieces of the tiles can be used as baseboard trim; the rest becomes "waste."

Hello,
we thought about it for a long time, but with our dog and parquet flooring, we decided against it.
So, we will equip our entire ground floor area with wood-look tiles.
Next week we will choose the tiles.
Best regards

We also installed some throughout the entire ground floor, 65 €/m², plus installation. It was the right decision. What we did differently was to make the grout lines as narrow as possible, contrary to DIN standards. The tile measures 100 x 12 cm (39 x 5 inches), so a wide grout line would have looked awkward.
