Did you just check the service availability online with Telekom as a formality?
Yesterday, I used the relocation service of our provider 1&1. Let’s see what Telekom says about that. 😉 It could happen that the big magenta-colored company won’t release the line, and we might have to switch to Telekom.
They tend to insist on keeping the line, especially when it’s a first connection. 😉

They are known to insist on keeping the line, especially with a first occupancy. 😉Then you will experience what we did: a USB stick for dial-up, weeks of thorough checking by 1&1, then an abrupt disconnection by 1&1, followed by an explanation and contract termination, which only happened by email two days later. And then they don’t care that you can no longer access your email inbox. 😉
