Hello!

The feedback on the last plan led me to completely redesign it. Therefore, I would like to get your opinion on my new design as well.

800m² (8,600 sq ft) plot, to give a better idea I have attached the plot layout from GIS and the sun path calculation
Edge towards the street is 1m (3.3 ft) high, otherwise flat
Buildable area from the street is 3m (10 ft) up to about 20m (66 ft)
2 parking spaces
House is conservative, with a pitched roof, basement, ground floor, and upper floor
Tile stove planned, only roughly indicated in the house plan
The house plan is a “do-it-yourself” version; a professional will revise it once this first draft is ready

Thank you in advance for your feedback!

Tiles in the bedroom and children’s room? Your knees will thank you 😉

Now I finally see the actual plans 🙂

You have a very large hallway, but is the space really being used effectively?
I would try to include a storage room on the ground floor; otherwise, you’ll always have to go down to the basement. We currently have the same issue, and it’s annoying—vacuum cleaners and such end up standing around in the living area.
Now I also understand the questions about the laundry chute. It should of course be accessible to everyone, ideally located in the bathroom or hallway.
You also have a lot of space in the bedroom that probably isn’t really necessary, right?
Other than that, the floor plan definitely has potential.

But tiles throughout the entire house?
That wouldn’t work for me, and I find tiles unsuitable for the bedrooms and children’s rooms. What about during transitional seasons or summer when the tiles are just cold (and hard anyway)? It’s not very comfortable, and you get cold feet.

@BeHaElJa: You say the househusband/housewife is happy? I can’t confirm that. Tiles need to be vacuumed and mopped so often. Everything shows immediately! I swear by wood flooring/parquet. In my opinion, it’s much easier to maintain (1–2 times a year with intensive care), otherwise just vacuum and occasionally mop. Of course, it’s a matter of taste, but for me, tiles in the children’s room would be an absolute no-go.

I still believe that the "tiling issue" is due to the user's laziness in not editing the rooms separately in the software 😉 So, we shouldn't overestimate it!

Thank you first of all for the responses; I will review them this evening.
Regarding tiles: ypg is absolutely right, we have not yet made a decision about the flooring...

And about the washing machine: we have only designated possible locations where a washing machine could be placed.

Oh, so it’s not supposed to be a laundry chute, but instead a possible washing machine space in the dressing room and another possible washing machine space in the ground floor bathroom?
