I want to replace the front door, which measures 2375 x 3170 mm (94 x 125 inches). I have a photo of it.
I would like to install a door sized 217 cm x 115 cm (85 x 45 inches). Next to it, a fixed-pane window, and above that, a full-width fixed-pane window.
Is this achievable?
How do you connect the door and windows? Can you simply join them with metal screws?
There are front doors with side panels and transom windows available, but those are in a different price range.

How do you connect doors and windows? Just by fastening them together with metal screws?Better not 😉.There are coupling elements designed for cases like this. If you use standard plastic doors made from window profiles, that might work. However, I doubt it will be significantly cheaper. The material is the same as what window and door manufacturers use.
Of course, if you look for prefabricated elements, especially those made of aluminum and/or with a better appearance, it will naturally be more expensive by comparison.

Which coupling elements are you referring to? I have found h couplings, but how is stability supposed to be achieved?

Which coupling elements do you mean? I found H-couplings, but how is stability supposed to be achieved? The H-couplings connect the elements. However, they are still screwed together. In addition, there are also structural coupling elements with steel reinforcement — you will need those.I’m not a window manufacturer or dealer who can specify the exact couplings required for your case. I can only tell you that structural elements are always used to couple front doors and side panels. H-couplings are only used for smaller connections that do not need to bear significant loads.
