The triangular window (see photos) is to be replaced by a rectangular one that widens downward. For this, the ring beam below would need to be cut. The structural engineer briefly looked at it and said it wouldn’t be an issue. However, now, just before the window installation (by a specialist company), I’m a bit unsure.
There are structural calculations and plans from 1994, when the extension was built. Maybe these could help you with your assessment?
