Hi community,
Do you have any tips on how to nicely integrate a mailbox into the property? I have seen someone combine a concrete fence with a concrete pillar to incorporate the whole setup into the property.
What do you think about this? Do you have other ideas?

Here, front doors of almost every house are freely accessible (even if gardens are fenced),Same here. With a concrete fence, we would call it a wall—and those are neither very common nor usually permitted here. That's probably for the best.N

In our area, what you call a concrete fence would be called a wall. From the inside, it feels like being in prison.M

You can see that from the discussion. Some have the mailbox on the house, but that only works if the property is accessible. Do you have a gate? A fence? A hedge? A wall?
Basically, I would recommend a mailbox with an integrated parcel box, preferably rather (seemingly too) large than small. My mailbox is placed at the property boundary or next to the driveway. The mail carrier doesn’t need to walk all the way up to my house every day... and on the few days a year when I’m sick, I can manage the 8m (26 feet) walk to the mailbox somehow. After all, I can manage the 5km (3 miles) trip to the doctor.
