Hello,

we are considering which shower shelf would be practical for shampoo and similar items in a new build.

A shower niche is not possible (it would reduce the shower floor space and make the shower too small for us).

These shower baskets keep falling off ://

What alternatives are there for new builds that are also durable and visually appealing?

It should definitely be something sturdy and resistant, capable of holding a few kilograms.

Hello,

does anyone happen to have a shower niche with LED lighting?
If yes, where did you place the transformer? Can you recommend any suppliers (also regarding the quality of the spots in terms of electricity and water resistance...)?

Thanks
There are various LED tile profiles available—regardless of the manufacturer. Then use waterproof LED strips or ready-made profiles. The transformer can be installed inside the drywall partition or wherever you prefer.

Then choose something from Schlüter, Bersteins, Slotfix, etc.

They all work. Schlüter is the market leader though.

I am currently looking for something similar. LED strips for the corners of the shower, 250cm (98 inches) long. The ones from Schlüter look very good in terms of watertightness and resistance to dirt. However, I want them to be replaceable, and the inserts for these strips are only available from Schlüter. It’s questionable whether replacement parts will still be available in 10–20 years. Also, they are not COB strips. Apparently, you don’t really see the individual LEDs here either.

I would prefer to install my own COB LED strips in a channel with a cover over it. But I’m concerned that it might not be truly watertight and that over time it could get dirty due to water seeping in slightly.
