Good evening,

we plan to buy an old house and have three generations living in it. Unfortunately, there is no kitchen on the first floor yet. Next to the room where the kitchen will be, there is a bathroom. Directly above it, there is also a small bathroom. Is it possible to install pipes through the wall from the adjacent bathroom to connect a sink and a dishwasher there?

Kind regards from the North

That would be a pragmatic and common approach.

That was exactly my question 🙂 I have no experience and wasn’t sure if it is even possible.

For the wastewater from the sink, you need to consider where it can be routed conveniently, as a continuous slope is required all the way to the point where the wastewater currently drains in the bathroom.

To answer specifically: yes, that is possible. The wall will be opened, an appropriate connection/branch installed, and everything will be fine. No problem for the installers.
