We need to temporarily remove one section of our wire mesh fence. The problem is that it’s an old fence and the section is stuck (see pictures). Do you know how to get it out without removing the post? The post must definitely stay in place; we cannot take it out.
Best regards,

Remove the cap and lift the coverWe have already tried that, but these black clips (on all the horizontal braces) are so tight that nothing moves at all. Is there a trick to get them out?

Is there a trick to get them out?If prying out the snap-in clips doesn’t work, then the clamps will have to be destroyed and replaced. Sometimes they were glued in the past, so nondestructive removal isn’t possible. For tasks like this, I like to use a multitool or an angle grinder. For reassembly, other fasteners can also be used (I would improvise something in that case).Sandrina89 schrieb:

Is there a trick to get them out? My approach would probably be: 1. Spray the clamps with a penetrating oil like Caramba or something similar; 2. use a batten to leverage one section of the fence; 3. tap under the batten with a hammer; switching the side left/right every few strikes at most; 3. once loosened, continue carefully this way to avoid misaligning the mesh.
