MasterPDFStamp10 May 2025 02:21Hello,
I only wanted to replace a toilet paper holder, but when removing the old holder, I loosened a screw and suddenly water shot out of the anchor with considerable pressure. It’s a mystery to me why this wasn’t noticed during installation over 10 years ago. I have now turned off the main water valve and injected silicone into the anchor. After reopening the main valve, the pipe appears to be completely sealed, which at least prevents water damage.
My question is: what tools would you recommend to expose the pipe with minimal damage, and what would I need for the repair? I can upload photos if necessary.
Thanks in advance.

My question: what tools would you recommend to expose the pipe with minimal demolition? Hammer and chisel or a rotary hammer.

What do I need for the repair? Pipe clamp, new pipe section, pressing tool, or other items. It depends on the extent of the damage.
But “causing only very little damage” won’t be enough for the repair.
