Not necessarily. I haven’t experienced any issues with PWM when using DALI controls. It also doesn’t have to be for the entire house.

Unfortunately, they only offer sets of up to 12, but we need 14 pieces.

We thought 2 LED spots per rafter might be enough, but you’ve done 2 / 3 / 2 / 3…

Our covered area will be a cold conservatory measuring 3 x 4.5 m (10 x 15 feet). The question is what you want to use it for—in the evening for dining and relaxing, the 14 lights should be enough. For reading a book, they will most likely be insufficient.

I would rather recommend a few more lights, which you can then dim if they are too bright.

The roof has been in place for 6–7 weeks now, and next week the side panels and awnings will be installed. I can’t say much about the lights yet, except that they work.

@halmi The Hamulight spotlights have a beam angle of only 45 degrees. Could that be too narrow or too focused on a smaller area?

Another downside is that they are only available in 2700K, not 3000K.

This works for us, as we wanted warm white light. However, we didn’t make a big deal out of choosing the spotlights.

Does anyone know good LED spotlights with a 3000K color temperature and a recess diameter of 27mm (1 inch)?
