Hello dear experts,
I am currently focusing on the topic of roofing.
We are planning to replace the roof tiles in 2025.
Gable roof, approximately 90 m² (970 ft²), older building
Insulated from the inside
Important question:
Is it true that this is only possible in combination with the installation of a photovoltaic system?

I have a quote for the roof tile replacement from a roofer:
50 € per m² (5 €/ft²) without materials, including installation of membranes and battens
120 € per m² (11 €/ft²) complete with tiles, membranes, and batten materials
Prices are net

We will provide scaffolding for both front and back

Do you consider the price reasonable?

No, who’s spreading that nonsense for 2025? You can easily verify the current regulations by checking the law (state building code § 42a) – from 01.01.2026 it is mandatory for you. But there are also exceptions (see the law).

Apart from that, you should still consider it, since you won’t find a more affordable way to get a photovoltaic system.

Who will handle the wiring in the end?

What do you mean by wiring?
Actually, we are only planning battens, foil, and roof tiles,
and I wanted to hear about the experiences of others.

Wiring the basement would already be a major technical challenge.

"Roof tiles only with photovoltaic installation"

There should definitely be some cables connected.
