ᐅ Room divider – single-sided or double-sided?

Hello everyone,

I’m currently considering how the room divider could be designed—whether it should be accessible from both sides or just one. I’m thinking of a height of about 1.40 m (4 ft 7 in).

On one side, the TV would be mounted, and on the other side, there would be a bench.

My thoughts:

I’m not sure why, but I feel that with the double-sided accessible option, when I’m watching TV, I might notice more movement in the background, which could be distracting, although it would feel more open.

With the single-sided option, I might have more possibilities for design.

Does anyone have experience with this or any opinions?

Thanks and regards!

PS: I also find the example photo interesting.

What is the cost per square meter? Did you do it yourself?

Could you maybe send me a link where I could order them?
Planeo Punkt De – wall cladding in all types. From wood to vinyl, shower panels, and even stone.

I have the wall cladding ready at the new house but haven’t installed it yet. However, it should be easy to install yourself using very thin tile adhesive and a pressure roller. The price is 40€/m² (about 3.7 per sq ft) plus adhesive.

I asked a painter about marble plaster: it starts at 100 m² (1,076 sq ft)...

That would be too much for me...

Which plaster would also be durable and much more affordable :-)?

Which plaster would also be durable and much cheaper 🙂 ?

Sorry for the expensive suggestion.. cement plaster or lime-cement plaster are also hard and durable.
