Hello everyone,
is it possible to install a 20cm (8 inches) drawer from Maximera at the top inside an 80cm (31.5 inches) wall cabinet (side cabinet) from Metod, and then have a 60cm (24 inches) door underneath?
The Metod kitchen planner does not allow this option. However, I am happy to assemble it myself on site.
It is intended to be a sideboard.

then basically a base cabinet with reduced depth
That’s why I said “basically” and just wanted to give you the hint that you can basically take the setup from the base cabinets and simply replace the carcass. Although I wouldn’t use the surface of the wall cabinets without a cover panel either. Unless you plan to build further upwards with the wall cabinets. There is also the 80 x 27 x 200 cm (31.5 x 10.6 x 78.7 inches) carcass for that.

What surface do you have? Is it the Veddinge?
Yes. I had to check briefly. It is the Veddinge. My wife wanted fronts from another supplier (for now, cough cough, 5 years), but she can't decide on any color. At that time, we chose the cheapest front, which, as far as I'm concerned, can stay as it is.

Well, drilling holes also matters with Ikea. What looks doable often turns out to be tricky.
At first, I wanted the Knoxhult without a drawer unit, but there are no pre-drilled holes at all, only a shelf is possible.

They are supposed to be arranged in a row of four. Who knows when I’ll manage to get a 240cm (94 inch) countertop that isn’t too expensive. So I’m using plan B with the wall cabinets, because the TV will be placed on top.

We have the Stensund fronts from IKEA in light green and are very happy with them... They are relatively new – maybe they could be an option for you too.

Do you want to hang them on the wall only, or also support them with feet? Because the pre-drilled holes for feet are only in the base cabinets ... which makes sense, as wall cabinets usually hang with their underside visible.

Yes, I know. We weighed it yesterday: rubber feet will be added underneath.
