Not only did it take more than one and a half months for a technician (a subcontractor of alpha innotec!) to inspect the malfunction of our Innotec air source heat pump, but he only spent two hours searching for the problem before concluding that the compressor was broken (after barely more than 5 years!). After that, he drove 80 km (50 miles) back. In any case, I was charged for this service. An offer from alpha innotec was supposed to follow, but only arrived after several reminders. And the shocker: the repair or replacement of the compressor would have cost almost €4,000 (about $4,400), which was as much as I paid for the entire system five years ago. As a result, I removed the alpha innotec air source heat pump and installed a standard boiler, operated by a burner. Stay away from alpha innotec!
Which model is it?
I have an LWDV 91-1/3 myself. So far, I’ve had a circuit board replacement under warranty within nearly 2 years; otherwise, it runs smoothly.
Before that, I had an LWAV 82, which caused problems for over 5 years, with breakdowns and repairs every few months. After 3 years, however, I received a complete replacement, also under warranty.
So, in my experience: the devices are so-so, but the service is good, at least during the warranty period...

Bierwächter25 Sep 2024 17:58We are getting one too. What I found online about it wasn’t much, but it actually sounded acceptable.
Friends of ours have had one since 2020 and haven’t had any problems with it, except that the electrician apparently connected it incorrectly at first. This was noticed during maintenance.
We will be getting a Hybrox 5.

Tilo BALZER25 Sep 2024 19:32We had a BWP 190S. About one and a half years ago, we experienced a malfunction (error message; no hot water). At that time, the issue was resolved simply by turning the system off and on again, without identifying the cause of the error. For us, alpha innotec is no longer an option. The technology is prone to failures, and the customer service is neither competent nor reliable.

On the one hand, the technology is prone to malfunctions, and the customer service is neither competent nor reliable. That said, it must be acknowledged that Alpha Innotec is part of one of the major and technologically advanced groups. Nibe, Novelan, and Alpha are all part of the same corporation.
