PandaraHello everyone,
After spending several days struggling with the choice of roof tiles without making any progress, I have registered here and would like to ask those of you who have installed anthracite-colored roof tiles for your opinion.
Here are the key details:
- A 1970s house situated in a natural setting with a large roof overhang
- Southwest roof pitch 20°, not visible due to the hillside location
- Northeast roof pitch 35°, full view of the roof surface, facing a forest
- Currently, Frankfurter tiles on the roof, color somewhere between gray and brown, blending well with the natural surroundings
Around the house, there is a lot of weathered sandstone and reddish porphyry paving. The new tile should therefore have a warm anthracite tone so that the roof does not look out of place but fits into the natural environment. Under no circumstances should the tile have a cold gray tone or even a bluish tint.
Our roofer would like to install Nelskamp F12Ü Süd tiles, but I am not happy with the color options for this model. The old black is too glossy for my taste and looks almost metallic on the roof. The matte black is better but still not really warm and seems quite sensitive. The anthracite color appears more like a cold gray.
I prefer the anthracite tone of the Erlus E 58 S or Jacobi J11v tiles.
Based on your experience, what would you recommend?
Thank you for your help!

What can you recommend based on your experience?Choose what you like and can afford. I really can’t think of another way to answer that question.
